Process

As soon as you have registered and your account is active – follow the three easy steps to collect the required photos, video and scan/impression from the patient.

By creating a case for your patient and successful payment you will be able to upload the patient data.

As soon as  the design team receive all the data, they will confirm the quality of the information and start with the creation of a new and perfect smile for your patient.Read more

We will provide the doctor with the 2Dimensional Design in a digital format to consult with the patient and make any changes required by doctor and patient.

A 3Dimensional Motivational Mock-up with a Silicone Index will be printed by the laboratory after the approval of the design.

The doctor will be able to use the Mock-up and Silicone Index to place an actual diagnostic in the patients mouth.

Within minutes the patient will be able to view their new and perfect smile.

This is the point where the patient physically test drives their new smile and become emotionally invested in the process.

The patient can now take photos and a video to show their new and perfect smile to family and friends.

ADDITIONAL OFFERING

To assist with the final design and actual milling of the ceramics.

Once, the patient is satisfied and accepts to continue with the enhancement procedure, the final and ideal Treatment Mock-up will be designed, calibrated accordingly and printed.Read more

The team uses world-class Emax materials for the milling of the ceramics. Using Lithium Disilicate and Zirconium Oxide,  we are able to achieve any shape and shade that is required by the dentist and patient.

During the process, Dento Design will guide the doctor and patient to achieve an optimal and perfect result.

Manufacturing of the ceramics will be done by Dento Design Incorporated – a registered Dental Laboratory.

Please note the bonding techniques for the different types of material differ and it is best to follow the adhesion protocol from the supplier.

The protocol needs to be followed in order for the design team to receive the correct information to work with and give the best outcome for the patient.

Photos

Using a DSLR Camera will be best suited to obtain quality photographs.Read more

The following photos will be required for the 2Dimensional Design.

  • The patient needs to be seated upright, with their head at the exact same angle for all the photos taken in order for the images to line up correctly.
  • Make sure the patient is looking directly at the camera with eyes open and hair behind the ears.
  • Ensure good lighting and no shadows.
  • Use the philtrum as a reference point to ensure the patient is perpendicular to the floor.
  • Facial Frontal and Retracted – it is critical that the mouth is slightly open.

Video

The video will be used to determine the patients phonetics and functional capabilities. The design team will require a video of approximately 2 minutes.

Casual Interview:

  • Natural conversation with the patient, talking and smiling.
  • Ask the patient what they think of a perfect smile, what do they like about their smile and what they would like?

Phonetics Interview:

  • Determine how the patient pronounces their words.
  • Patient needs to count from 1-10 and in multiples of 11.
  • The patient needs to repeat the counts while looking left and right (45 degrees).

Functional Interview:

  • Patient places the retractors in their mouth.
  • Patient will bite down on their back teeth, then slowly move their mandible forward, left and right while in occlusion.

Scan or Impression

Complete scan or impression of the upper and lower arches of the patient. More Info...

Scan:

  • Sirona Chairside Scanner – Doctor can add DentoPlan to their portal and easily upload the STL File with instructions on Sirona Connect.
  • Other Scanner – Doctor can export the STL scanned file to us for processing (Wetransfer/DropBox).

Impression:

The doctor can also courier a decent PVS impression that will be scanned by the design team and processed.

A detailed description of the desired result is critical in the design phase.Read more

The team requires information on the length of the central incisors. The crowns that require lengthening or shortening, if crowns need to be wider, if gingival contouring will be performed etc.

The doctor is welcome to provide us with a photograph or drawing and indicate what needs to be done on the individual tooth structures, indicating the mid-line, incisal edges, smile line and preferred shape.

With every treatment plan the doctor will receive a 2Dimensional Digital Design to show their patient the way forward. This assists as a guided approach during treatment.

The 3Dimensional Motivational Mock-up with the Silicon Index gives a visual diagnostic result.

The patient can test drive their new smile.

The purpose of the motivational mock-up is to show the patient what their future smile can look like.

This motivational mock-up does NOT take into account the occlusion and ideal emergence profile.

It is an over-sized diagnostic that is not intended for the milling of the final ceramics.

Our team of technicians are able to design the Final Treatment and Functional Mock-up if required by the doctor.

The Ideal mock-up will be designed according to the occlusion and emergence profile and re-printed. Assisting the doctor during every step of the treatment plan and preparation.

The team is equipped to assist with the overlap of the Ideal design and the milling of the restorations and final ceramics.
